Resource Guide for Servicemembers and Veterans

With great support for all of our troops, the Louisiana Office of the Attorney General is proud to offer this resource guide for the military community, whether residing in Louisiana before, during, or after active duty. Its contents cover a wide range of information regarding available safeguards and services useful to military personnel and their families.

As scams and other deceitful tactics aimed at taking advantage of veterans are a primary concern for the Attorney General's office, the Consumer Protection Section of the Public Protection division is sharing helpful information and practical protections for veterans at all stages of duty. This guide is a reference point for a range of programs and assistance, including charitable, medical, legal, educational and other resources which supply the most reliable and reputable services to veterans and their family members.

Please contact the Consumer Protection Section at 1-800-351-4889 to report fraud, unfair treatment, scams or other predatory practices targeted at our military community.

Coming soon, the attorney's general office seeks to provide a mechanism by which to take online payments for collections.
