AG Jeff Landry: As a proud veteran and the State's chief legal officer, I will continue doing all that I can to protect our military community from being exploited. Our veterans earned their benefits by putting their lives on the line for our freedoms; the least we can do is fight to defend them from unscrupulous schemes that violate our consumer protection laws.

AG Jeff Landry: Now, more than ever, it is important to hold Big Tech accountable for any and all questionable or dishonest business practices. My office and I will continue fighting to protect Louisiana.

AG Jeff Landry: In order to help ensure the well-being of all Louisiana children, I urge parents and guardians to take a brief moment to learn about these recalled products.

AG Jeff Landry: Too many seniors have been unable to talk to their loved ones, too many students have been unable to virtually learn, and too many patients have been unable to receive telemedicine. They not only deserve answers, but they also should receive some guarantees that their issues will be resolved.

AG Jeff Landry: This settlement will provide much-needed relief to many Louisiana students who incurred debts for questionable education because of unethical and illegal lending practices.

AG Jeff Landry: Protecting the public during this pandemic does not need to be partisan; and I am grateful that General Becerra and our colleagues from across the political aisles have come together in this cause. Americans ill from COVID-19 should have options in their medical treatment, and today’s petition will hopefully ensure they can access and afford remdesivir.

AG Jeff Landry: I thank Governor DeSantis and General Moody for not only recognizing the success our State has made slowing the spread of Coronavirus but also, and most especially, for removing the travel restrictions that had been placed on Louisiana travelers. Many Louisiana citizens travel to Florida to visit family, conduct business, or get much-needed vacations; today’s declaration helps make those movements a lot easier.

AG Jeff Landry: The federal government is indeed sending debit cards to some people, and those recipients should follow all directions provided with the prepaid cards.

AG Jeff Landry: It is imperative these stimulus checks go to those who rightfully belong to them. Any illegal seizure of these funds should be immediately reported to my Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.

AG Jeff Landry: Thousands of consumers were exposed to unnecessarily high levels of risk when they were placed into auto loans with a high probability of default. This settlement with the auto loan giant not only provides relief to those consumers, but also requires Santander to factor in a consumer’s ability to pay a loan into its underwriting in the future.

General Landry: Unfortunately, package theft is a problem just about everywhere. Thieves are looking to ruin your holidays by trying to get their hands on your presents before you do.

General Landry: As consumers gear up for the holidays, I urge them to take some basic precautions to ensure that their families remain safe and injury-free throughout the Christmas Season.

General Landry: I encourage all parents and guardians to be aware of recently recalled products to ensure the safety of our State’s youth.

General Landry: It is absolutely despicable to take advantage of our elderly family, friends, and neighbors.

General Landry: I encourage the people of our State to get informed on signs of potential scams and ways to avoid becoming victims of them.
